The fleet on the “Sächsische Selketalbahn” has been strengthened in the meantime. The VT137 traction unit, built in 1968, has started operation. The beautiful small series model comes from Kiss Modellbahnen Deutschland and has been delivered since fall 2023. The prototype can still be found today on the Harz Narrow Gauge Railways as a T3 railcar in front of special trains. The new video “VT137 railcar” can be found in the video gallery for all enthusiastic garden railroaders.

The 2023 garden railroad summer season has now unfortunately come to an end. It is slowly time to transfer the vehicles and buildings to the winter depot and subject them to the annual inspection.

LUMO-Modelle will deliver all orders received so far this year. All other orders can only be processed in the new year.

For all enthusiastic garden railroaders, here is a snapshot of Mägdesprung station, one of the most beautiful stations on the Selketalbahn in the Harz Mountains. The station restaurant with its light blue livery, as it was in the 1990s, is very busy. Unfortunately, the goods shed no longer exists; it was demolished years ago due to dilapidation. In the meantime, however, the station building itself is being restored by private hands and will thus be preserved for the future. Incidentally, the beautiful model was built by MultischaalModelbouw.

To bridge the time until then, LUMO-Modelle has published the new video “Im Selketal” in the video gallery. It shows that Mallet locomotives are still in full steam on the “small Selketalbahn” in Saxony. Unfortunately, these beautiful locomotives no longer run on the original tracks of the Harz Narrow Gauge Railway (HSB) since 99 5906, the last Mallet locomotive in service, was retired in May 2022. What a pity!
